The "Basic Five" Relief Lotions

The "Basic Five" Relief Lotions are the foundation of our O'Malley & Potter "Feel-Good" Products.

These five lotions are offered in both a Regular and a Concentrated formula.

Regular formula is for larger "geographical" or surface areas of the body - for use in massage therapy, whole back, both legs, etc. It would also be best to use the Regular formula for children, the very elderly, or a frail individual. Regular formula lotions are available only in 4 oz bottles.

Concentrated formula does not mean that the lotions need to be diluted. It simply means that there are more essential oils in these formulations per volume of the lotion base. Concentrated formula lotions are for smaller "hot spot" areas -- headaches, neck, lower back, knee, etc. Concentrated formula lotions are available only in 2 oz bottles.

All lotions are blended with a natural all-vegetable lotion base that is very emollient, moisturizing to the skin, and carries the chemistry of the essential oils nicely into the muscle tissue without leaving any residue that could stain clothes or bed sheets.

With all products, use as much as you need, but as little as possible - a small amount goes a long way!

All lotions are blended in a base of:
Deionized water, Safflower oil, Glycerine (a natural by-product of soap manufacture, it is a solvent, humectant, and emollient in cosmetics, absorbing moisture from the air, nontoxic, nonirritating, nonallergenic), Isopropyl Palmitate (Palmitic acid occurs naturally in allspice, anise, celery seed, and many plant oils, and is obtained from palm oil, "isopropyl" refers to molecular structure which allows it to emulsify), Jojoba oil, Glyceryl Sterate (an emulsifier, see Glycerine), Steric Acid (occurs naturally in some plant oils, used in making lubricants, gives pearliness to handcreams), Panthenol vitamine B-Complex factor, used in emollients, and as a supplement in foods, good for human tissue), D-Alpha tocopherol (an antioxidant), Apricot oil, Sesame oil, Grape seed oil, Allantoin (used in creams, lotions, etc. to stimulate growth of healthy tissue and help heal wounds and skin ulcers), Sea kelp extract, Lecithin (a natural antioxidant and emollient), Cucumber extract, Comfrey extract, Carbomer (an emulsifier derived from pine), and Methyl paraben (.01%, a preservative to prevent growth of bacteria).
